Donation Appeal

No Gun Organisation (NGO) is a “Community Interest Company” charitable organisation. Following our appearance on Channel 4 ‘The Secret Millionaire’ we have been unable to secure sufficient funding to continue our work. Most recently our funding application for £10,000 from The Home Office ‘CAGGK (Communities Against Gangs, Guns and Knives) £4m fund was turned down due to us receiving half the points needed claiming lack of project information. Outrageous I know but, this is how good projects like ours are constantly judged by poor decision makers on funding panels.

Our Strategy is simple. NGO offers its NGO Youth bus to various postcodes in our communities to deliver mentoring opportunities to young people at risk to gang culture, gun and knife crime. We’ve shown real success by providing mentoring and education to over 1200 young people in just 12 months in operation. Regrettably, this was not enough credibility for the Home Office and now the youth bus project has been forced to stop unless we receive financial help. NGO would like to continue its much needed community service despite the £56,000 operational costs per year expenses if we're to work full time for both schools and communities across the East Midlands. We’ve been forced to cut back over the last few months and have reduced operational costs to £28,000 a year whilst impacting on young visitors to our bus. We’ve vastly reduced facilitator and management expenses by covering less community postcode visits.  Please come forward if you are a business or an individual and donate what you can so we can give young people a chance to improve their lives in our community. Gang related street weapons deaths will not go away despite glorified announcement of crime reduction figures. We are all at serious risk if projects like NGO continue to close because of the lack of funding. We’re good at what we do and enjoy our work. Can you help?
